P.I.V. System

A PIV (Positive Input Ventilation) system is a mechanical ventilation solution designed to improve indoor air quality and reduce issues such as condensation, dampness, and mould. It works by drawing fresh, filtered air from outside or a loft space and gently introducing it into the home through a central diffuser, typically located in a hallway ceiling. This constant flow of fresh air replaces stale, moisture-laden air, reducing humidity levels and expelling airborne pollutants.
Installing a PIV system typically involves mounting the unit in a loft or other designated space, connecting it to an external air source or utilizing the loft's ambient air, and fitting a diffuser in a central location. The system is then wired to the home's electrical supply, often with an optional humidity or temperature sensor for automatic control. Installation requires careful sealing and positioning to ensure optimal airflow and efficiency.
